Rolando Bonilla: Covid19 Survivor, Community and Health Warrior.

Rolando Bonilla is a Communications Executive for Voler Strategies, a company that he and his wife, Perla A. Rodriguez, founded in 2010. He is a community and health activist in the San Francisco Bay Area and presently a Planning Commissioner for the City of San Jose. In December of 2020, Rolando and several of his family members contracted Covid-19; their Uncle passed away due to Covid-19 and Rolando spent a week in an Intensive Care Unit in Santa Clara. Rolando shares his story of his near death experience and recovery to help others understand the seriousness of Covid-19 and what we can do to protect ourselves. Immediately after his release from the hospital, Rolando created The East San Jose COVID Relief Fund to support businesses in East San Jose that have been impacted by COVID-19. Rolando Bonilla is a Communications Executive for Voler Strategies, and a Community  and Health activist in San Jose, California; he presently serves as a Planning Commissioner for the City of San Jose.
Rolando and several of his family members contracted Covid19 in December of 2020; his Uncle passed away due to Covid19, and Rolando himself spent a week in an ICU. Rolando shares his  Covid-19 hospital experience  and his concerns about the spread of Covid-19. He emphasizes the need to follow public health practices and to take care of ourselves and family members during this pandemic.
