For 45 years community members and El Colectivo del Rescate Cultural brings the community together through its annual Día de Los Muertos Procession, a powerful cultural tradition that honors the lives and memories of loved ones who have passed away. The procession transforms the San Francisco Mission District into a vibrant display of remembrance, featuring families carrying photographs, candles, flowers, and personal tributes while accompanied by music, dance, and artistic expressions rooted in Mexican and Indigenous traditions. This year they honor, Luis De La Garza, Alberto Rangel, Ricardo Pena and Juan Pablo Gutierrez who were Artists and leaders of the Procession before their passing.
